Lindale, TX
We were at the Hampton Inn in Lindale, Texas today. We were visiting my Aunt Bill who, as you will remember from a blog long ago, is my grandmother's sister and is the spitting image of her. We happened upon this lounging beauty whilst on our way to the pool. This child goes where she goes with such authority that I sometimes doubt myself when I'm the one who knows the way. She beat us to the elevator and this setee was just calling her name. I couldn't resist the pic. This is Aunt Bill with Anna who loves to show off her limberness to anyone who will watch. I'm sorry for the far awayness (I know it's not a word but...) of this picture but it's of camels and zebras. Did you know there are camels and zebras somewhere between here and Lindale? I'll try to get a better pic next time but they always sneak up on me and I'm woefully unprepared. Guess who...guess what. That's right. Madeline got to swim since we were at a hotel with a pool. Woohoo!
I am a mom of 5 beautiful, smart, wonderful children. But who doesn't believe that of their children? OK, I have a 27 year old who is married to a lovely young lady who I am proud to call my daughter-in-law. I have a 23 year old who tours with the band "Super Water Sympathy" and you should check them out. I have a 14 year old softball playing girl. I have a 12 year old independent, free spirit and a 7 year old cute as a button. Our life is never dull. Our house is rarely clean (all of it - all at once)and my meals are rarely well rounded. But, we have fun and make fun memories. Opening day of baseball season is a national holiday in our house. Oscar night a night that mommy should not be disturbed and Sundays are a day of rest or should be.
